Rhyheim's entry into the industry came through lived experience—he was already part of the LA sex scene before filming began. When he started documenting those encounters, he noticed something the mainstream industry often missed: the genuine expressions and chemistry between his partners felt completely different from typical studio productions. Rather than chase traditional performer metrics, he used that insight to shape his directorial vision, focusing on scenarios where real connection could emerge on camera. This philosophy became the foundation for VOYR, which he launched to prioritize authentic performer experience and chemistry over formulaic production. His work represents a deliberate pivot in how gay content can be made and distributed.
