Born and raised in Glendora, California, Raylene — Stacey Hirsch off camera — arrived in the adult industry in 1998 with a background that set her apart from the start: an honors student who graduated high school at sixteen, a former child actress with credits on Hunter and 21 Jump Street, and a young woman who had once mapped out a future in Christian education. That particular distance between the life she imagined and the one she chose has always been part of what makes her compelling. Vivid Entertainment recognized something special immediately, signing her to a contract in May of 1998 that would last over three years and yield nearly one hundred film appearances. During that run she collected serious industry recognition — an XRCO Starlet of the Year in 1999, and a shared AVN Best Actress (Film) award in 2001 for Artemesia, splitting the honor with Taylor Hayes. She retired at the close of her Vivid contract in 2001, briefly toured as a dancer, and then made a quietly remarkable pivot into residential real estate — eventually brokering a transaction for the AIM Health Care Foundation. In 2009, she returned to performing with Raylene's Dirty Work, proving that her appeal had not softened with time. The AVN Hall of Fame inducted her in 2008, the XRCO followed in 2017. She continues to perform independently, carrying the authority of a genuine industry icon.
