Recent Outfits From Instagram

I’ve promised & promised & promised again to create this blog post; I’m soooo sorry for the delay! Ive had the half written post open on my blog tab for the past 2 weeks but between celebrating my birthday and starting my new job, I’ve just not managed to get it finished and posted so again, I’m really sorry for my absence!

I thought I’d give you a recap of a couple of outfits that I’ve worn this past few weeks on Instagram. I’m trying to push my Instagram into a more fashion-focussed direction; I’m an absolute freak when it comes to clothing but have always felt a little intimidated about posting about fashion. It seems like a very competitive industry and it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming to constantly be styling really fashionable, creative outfits, but I have to keep reminding myself to just stick to what I like and not try too hard…

I’m trying to kick the habit of walking round in leggings and my brothers t shirts day to day; it has to be said that it’s uninspiring as fuck to be sat trying to write about your outfits, pretending you dress like Blair Waldorf every day on your blog, when actually you’re sat there make up free, in basically your pyjamas, wondering what that stain on the bottom of your shirt is from. So I figured I’d up my game and try to dress more creatively, even on days when I’m not creating content, just to feel a little more put together. And my god, the impact it’s had on my motivation is crazy!

So this past few weeks, I styled a few outfits for a couple of different sets of plans. I got a heap of messages about a few of the looks and where things were from, so I thought I’d help you all out and put them in one easy place. Just a little insight; if you ever wonder what I’m wearing, there’s a 90% chance it’s from Zara. I’m pretty unoriginal.

As I said, I’m trying to up my game a little outfits wise, steering clear of old favourites and striving for something a little more varied. I’d love to be one of those classically dressed, sophisticated ladies of leisure, but as a Libra I’m pretty split minded, so my personality changes every day, and with that my style does too. One day I could be dressed like Grace Kelly, the next Lil Kim. There’s no in between, haha!

But for this look, I wanted a really clean cut, expensive but understated style. Blue jeans are just iconic, and there’s nothing in my opinion more classic than a well fitted pair with a crisp white shirt. I’ve tagged everything below for you to get the look:

Zara Women Navy Blue Body Curve Jeggings – £25.99 – Size 4

Zara Women Oversized White Shirt – £25.99 – Size XS

Public Desire Alia Strappy Perspex Heels – £29.99 – Size 3

PrettyLittleThing Norie Multi Layer Gold Lion Necklace – £8.00

PrettyLittleThing Gold Disk Multi Layered Necklace – £6.00

Givenchy Antigona Small Sugar Leather Tote – £1,490.00

I styled this outfit for a day out in Lytham. Lytham is one of my favourite spots in my area; it’s a picturesque little town by the seaside full of cute cafes and bars. I love to sit outside with a coffee and my dogs and just chill for a few hours, as its a great spot to people watch. Summer has well and truly come to an end, but with one day glorious sunshine left, I thought I’d wear an all white outfit and pair it with this beautiful statement kimono. I was sent this by the lovely ladies at Sass Collection and absolutely adore the Japanese inspired blossom print. I’ll be sad to store this away all winter after only just getting it but I can’t wait to pair it with bikinis and shorts come summer.

Zara Women Whit Short Sleeved T Shirt – £12.99 – Size S

Topshop MOTO Joni Jeans – White – £45.00 – Size W24 L30

Sass Collection Blossom Print Maxi Kimono – £20.00 – One Size

New Look Silver Leather Slider Sandals – £15.99

Zara Women Pearl Buckle Belt – £17.99

Celine Tilda Black Sunglasses – £196.00 (ON SALE!)

Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Croc Tote Bag – Fog – £1,925.00 – Small

A few weeks back me and the girls took a crazy trip to Birmingham to visit our lovely friend Ruby. We had lunch and cocktails by the canal, went shopping all day around Harvey Nichols, got giddy in Selfridges and basically fell in love with the place. We also got to visit Ruby’s incredible penthouse, with amazing views over the city. On the way home things definitely took a strange turn and after a random stop at McDonald’s in which we nearly choked to death by laughing so hard at the most random shit on the planet (I’ll say no more girls), we finally got home. We literally loved the city and the change of scenery from Manchester and can’t wait to plan another trip back.

I wanted something really comfortable to wear and had just bought this amazing blazer from Zara. It’s a real statement as it’s half way between a tartan blazer and a flannel shirt. I absolutely love khaki as it’s so autumnal so I tried to keep the outfit as neutral as possible with grey and black. I added a waist belt to add some definition to the outfit as the blazer is more of a dress if left un-cinched.

Zara Women Khaki Tartan Blazer Dress – Size S – £29.99

Zara High Waist Skinny Jeans – Smoked Grey – Size 6 – £25.99

Asos Knot Belt (SOLD OUT) Similar: Glamourous Knot Belt – £8.00

ALDO Lace Up Ballet Flats (SOLD OUT) Similar: La Redoute Lace Up Point Ballet Flats – Size 4 – £23.20

Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Croc Tote Bag – Fog – £1,925.00 – Small
